Why Can't My Guest Approve a Proposal?
There are 3 primary possibilities your guest is unable to approve their proposal. See below for the possible reasons:
1. Approval Needs To Be Requested
To generate the signature line and contract on the Event Portal, the green 'Request Approval' button must be clicked. Once the 'Request Approval' button is initially clicked, this populates an area at the bottom of the Event Portal for your client to sign and approve the policies for their proposal.
Upon clicking 'Request Approval', a message box will appear with a default proposal message to send your guest. While the text that automatically populates cannot be changed by default, feel free to insert your own Message Template instead. The proposal approval process will still be activated as long as you're sending the message using the 'Request Approval' button.
Once the 'Request Approval' button is clicked and the message containing the Event Portal link is sent to your guest, the proposal is officially activated and ready to be electronically approved.
Gather Tip: You can simply click 'Request Approval' and send the proposal to yourself to activate the signature if you'd prefer not to send your guest another email.
Need to get approval on an updated version of the proposal after your guest has already signed the initial version? In order to collect a signature on the latest version, click 'Reopen' to send over the updates. You can do this as many times as you need.
2. There is No Policy Associated With the Booking or the Policy Associated is Blank
If you have clicked the green 'Request Approval' button and your guest is still unable to successfully sign their proposal, make sure that there is a policy/contract associated with the booking. The guest is required to agree to the event contract and policies prior to signing. If no contract and policies exist for the booking, they will be unable to submit their signature. Even if a policy is associated with the booking but contains no text, your guest will not be able to sign.
