How Do I Use My Gather Payment Integration to Process Gift Cards?
Interested in virtualizing your gift card purchasing process during Covid-19? Follow the steps below to do so using your Gather payments integration:
- In your Location Settings, toggle to your Room settings and add a new room named Gift Card.
- If you have a standard gift card policy for your business, you can create a new policy including this information by following the steps HERE and apply this policy to your Gift Card location.
- Create a new booking. Include the guest's name and 'Gift Card' in the event name.
- Tip: Make the event date the same for every booking created for gift cards so they are easy to identify and report on.
- Tip: Create a 'Gift Card' campaign in order to report on these bookings using the Payments Export Report.
- Request a payment for the desired 'Gift Card' amount.
- Once your guest completes the payment, send them a copy of the automatically generated receipt.
- Have your guest use the payment receipt as confirmation rather than providing your staff an actual gift card when they dine in!
