Why is it Imperative to Request Approval?
By selecting request approval AND sending the approval message, you are activating the signature section of the Event Portal. Only after your approval message has been sent can your guest agree to event details and policies by electronically signing.
Gather Tip: Don’t want to use Gather’s automated message? Create a message template within your settings - just be sure to include the Proposal Link variable. You can even request approval directly from the Gather mobile app!
Upon signing, a signed contract document will automatically be generated, giving you a binding record of what your guest has agreed to.
Does your guest need to make changes after the proposal is approved? You can always reopen the proposal. Just make sure to request approval a second time, allowing your guest to re-sign to generate a new signed contract!
Requesting approval also allows you to get the most out of your Company Snapshot.
Unsent Proposals will bring you to a list of all future bookings with proposals that have not been requested for approval. Are you still waiting for the final menu selection or guest count? Why not give your guest a call to discuss menu options.
Unsigned Proposals will bring you to a list of all future bookings with proposals that have an approval request sent but are still awaiting a signature from your guest. Has it been a week since you requested approval? Send your guest a follow-up email to get that proposal signed.
