How Do I Add an Attachment to a Message?
Automatically-generated Documents like the BEO and Contract, as well as any personal files stored on your computer, can easily be attached to your outgoing Gather messages!
Let's walk through the process of attaching files to messages in Gather!
- While drafting a Message, click the small paper clip icon located at the bottom of the Message box.
- Click inside the 'Saved Files' box & select a file or click 'Upload a File' to upload and attach a file directly from your computer.
Note: All of the Automatic Documents and Saved & Uploaded Files housed inside the Documents tab for your event are available to attach here (BEO, Chef BEO, Contract, Credit Card Authorization Form, Invoice, Menu).
- Confirm that your Message looks good, and click 'Send'!
Note: Attachments in Gather work similarly to links, and will be included at within the body of your message. They will populate wherever your cursor currently sits on the page! Find out more below.
Attachments in Gather appear as links. When you attach a file, it will appear within the body of the Message in blue, underlined, clickable text for your client to click directly on from the email. It will populate wherever your cursor currently sits in the message text box. Move these files (links) around to different places within your Message by copying and pasting.
