How Can I Customize the Request Approval Message Text?
Are you ready to send your client their Proposal for approval? When you click the 'Request Approval' button on the right-hand side of your booking, a default message will pop up.
Gather automatically includes some default text in the message to save you time! However, you may want to customize this message to add in additional information or change the tone. While this default template cannot be edited, you can always create your own Message Template and switch to this with the click of a button!
The article linked above provides step-by-step instructions for creating these Message Templates but there is one really important detail when creating a new Request Approval template. Somewhere in this next text you need to include the Event Portal Variable, as this will ensure your client can see their specific proposal!
Once your new Message Template is created within your Settings, you can quickly switch to this text when requesting approval from your client! Here's how:
1. Click 'Request Approval'.
2. Click the Message Template icon.
3. Select your new Template from the list.
4. Send Message.
Please note: This Message Template must be sent by clicking 'Request Approval', not directly from the Message tab of a booking. If you send this Template directly from the Messages page your client will be able to view their portal but they will not have the ability to E-Sign!
