How Can I Send Messages Through Gather Using My Own Email Domain?
Authenticated Email allows Gather to send emails on behalf of your company’s domain, giving you the ability to maintain your own domain reputation.
Once you have verified the domain on your end, Gather is able to send emails from any email address on a particular domain when sending messages within the Gather platform. This will allow emails previously sent from firstname.lastname@example.org to be sent using any @yourdomain.com email address.
Note: At this time, you are only able to use one authenticated email domain per Gather account.
Some email security providers (e.g. Mimecast) may block messages. As a preventative measure, ask your email admin to create an Anti-Spoofing policy to take no action for these IP ranges (Postmark sends from these IPs):
22.214.171.124/27 (126.96.36.199 - 127)
188.8.131.52/26 (184.108.40.206 - 255)
220.127.116.11/24 (18.104.22.168 - 255)
Here’s how to get started:
1. Add a DKIM and Return-Path record to the DNS for your domain.
Send email@example.com the email address for your IT or domain manager and the domain you would like to use. Your IT or domain manager will then receive an email with the DKIM key and instructions to add the DKIM and Return-Path record to the DNS for your domain.
2. Verify your new DNS record.
Once your IT or domain manager has added the DKIM record as a TXT type and Return-Path record as a CNAME to your DNS, with the Hostname and Value as shown in the email they receive, let Gather Support know. It typically takes 48 hours to verify.
3. Set up your authenticated “send from” email address.
Our Support team will let you know once the new DNS record is verified. At that time, you can go to https://app.gatherhere.com/profile to set up your authenticated send from email address.

Enter your “send from” email address in the Authenticated Sender Email box. This will be the email address used for all Gather messages.
You will receive an email from Gather. Click the button to confirm your email.
If you ever need to modify your email address, simply click the X next to your email address to enter a new one.
